As our children are too young to really understand the concept of VE Day, to coincide with the 80th anniversary, our theme for the week was CELEBRATING GREAT BRITAIN. The children enjoyed a range of red, white and blue tough trays, and a sensory tray which gave them the opportunity to smell different teas. We talked about the Royal Family and the children made crowns, paper chains and streamer batons. They also made aeroplanes and had aeroplane races in the garden. Children in Little Learners got the treat of watching the commemorative fly past and the Royals on the balcony, on TV.
